Welcome to General Practice SA

Australians enjoy one of the best health care systems in the world, and general practice is the foundation that makes this possible.

Preserving and promoting this foundation is a key focus for General Practice SA.

We are the state-level body supporting the work of our members, South Australia General Practice Networks.  The General Practice Networks are dedicated to preserving and promoting the role of almost 2,000 general practitioners providing primary health care to some 1.5 million South Australians.

With our state-wide focus, General Practice SA advocates for our members and coordinates the delivery of government-funded health program initiatives across the state.

We are committed to ensuring a vibrant future for general practice through our work with the SA General Practice Networks in order to maintain the quality of Australia’s primary health care services and the contribution to the health of Australians.
