RACGP - Free Swine Flue Briefing and Workshop


Monday 11 May 2009, 9.30am - 12.30 pm


Venue: College House, 15 Gover Street, North Adelaide 5006

The SA/NTFaculty will host a FREE workshop to provide an update on the RACGP response to the Mexican Swine Flu.
The workshop will be conducted by Judy Evans, RACGP Senior Project Officer, Standards for General Practice and author of the RACGP Pandemic Flu Kit in collaboration with key GPs involved in the RACGP response.

The workshop will focus on:

    • Information about the current situation (worldwide and in Australia)
    • strategies to support practices to prepare pandemic plans
    • common questions and answers
    • basic infection control measures
    • correct use of personal protective equipment
    • business continuity planning

Format
The workshop will be conducted over 3 hours and involve a range of teaching methods including:

    • Presentations
    • Group discussions
    • Practical demonstrations and use of personal protective equipment.
